Theia

Theia is a hypothetical Mars-sized protoplanet proposed in the Giant Impact Hypothesis for the Moon’s formation. It is believed to have collided with early Earth, ejecting material that later formed the Moon. This event likely affected Earth’s axial tilt and rotation rate.
