Cosmic Microwave Background, CMB

The Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) is the remnant radiation released about 380,000 years after the Big Bang when the universe became transparent. It is observed in the microwave region of the spectrum. It provides direct information about the early universe. It is one of the strongest pieces of evidence for the Big Bang model.
